My name is Cate Casper. I am a rising senior at Memorial High School, where I am on the swim and water polo teams. I coach our neighborhood swim team in the summers and love the positive, uplifting environment that comes with being around kids.

Growing up, I have spent my weekends cooking and baking alongside my dad. It has given me confidence, taught me responsibility, and served as a creative outlet. For years, every time we made a birthday cake for a family member, I begged my dad to let me frost it by myself. Finally, he let take over as head chef of the birthday cakes, and the cakes have only gotten more complicated each time. I am starting my baking camp with young girls like me in mind.  

I have received my Houston Food Safety Managers Certification. I am trained to to prevent the spread of bacteria in food, ensure that everyone has proper hygiene, and make sure that the kitchen and all equipment are sanitized properly.
